ERCOT Power
ERCOT power prices began the week increasing, it leveled out by mid week. Prices continued at this inclining slope as the week came to an end.

ERCOT Prompt month deliveries closed at $87.69/MWh, decreasing $3.69/MWh or 4.21%.

ERCOT ‘08 finished the week at $81.17/MWh up 2.28%.

ERCOT ’09 closed the week at $79.07MWh up 2.60%.

The prompt month for the Houston Zone finished at $92.57/ MWh a decrease of 4.66% and the prompt month North Zone finished at $87.69/MWh down 4.21%.

NYISO-NEPOOL Power
Northeast power prices started the week with a slight increase and leveled off by mid-week, prices continued increasing as the week came to an end.

Prompt month prices for the Northeast are 1% to 5% higher than 3 months ago for the same trading month.

NYISO Zone J prompt month closed the week at $134.01/ MWh increasing $5.76/MWh, a change of 4.30%.

NYISO Zone A prompt month finished at $79.35/MWh a gain of $5.85/MWh or 7.37%.

Massachusetts NEMA prompt month closed at $98.50/ MWh a change of 1.52% or $1.50/MWh.

Massachusetts SEMA prompt month finished the week at $89.50/MWh, increasing 1.68%.

PJM Power

PJM power prices started the week increasing and leveled off by mid week. The week closed at a higher price compared to last week.

Cinergy prompt month finished the week at $85.84/MWh, a change of 4.80%, increasing $4.12/MWh.

NI Hub prompt month finished the week with a gain of $2.51/MWh to close at $82.11/MWh, a change of 3.06%.

PJM West Hub prompt month gained $3.60/MWh closing at $103.10/MWh, a change of 3.49%.

PSEG prices for the prompt month closed at $125.10/MWh, a change of 2.88% or $3.60/MWh.

Compared to 3 months ago, PJM prices are 4% to 8% higher for the same trading period.

Natural Gas Market

Natural gas prices started the week at an increasing rate but slumped briefly at mid week. The week ended with prices higher than last week.

NYMEX prices for the prompt month finished the week at $7.92/MMBtu an increase of 3.22% or $0.26/MMBtu.

July 2007 prices are 2.92% higher than 3 months ago for the same delivery period.

NYMEX Bal. ‘07 closed at $8.53/MMBtu a change of 3.07%, up $0.26/MMBtu.

NYMEX Cal ‘08 finished the week at $9.21/MMBtu; NYMEX Cal ‘09 closed at $8.98/MMBtu.

Algonquin, Transco Z6, and Tetco M3 prompt month closed at $1.38/MMBtu, $1.72/MMBtu, and $1.19/MMbtu respectively.

Natural Gas Storage: Gas in Storage Increased 92 Bcf

Working gas in storage was 2,255 Bcf as of Friday, June 8, 2007, according to EIA estimates.

This represents a net increase of 92 Bcf from the previous week.

Stocks were 131 Bcf less than last year at this time and 365 Bcf above the 5-year average of 1,890 Bcf.

In the East Region, stocks were 128 Bcf above the 5-year average following net injections of 61 Bcf.

Stocks in the Producing Region were 179 Bcf above the 5-year average of 637 Bcf after a net injection of 20 Bcf.

Stocks in the West Region were 58 Bcf above the 5-year average after a net addition of 11 Bcf.

At 2,255 Bcf, total working gas is within the 5-year historical range.
