ERCOT Power

ERCOT power prices, started the week with a steady increase in price. By mid-week the prices dropped, and reverted back to an increasing path as the week came to an end.

ERCOT prompt month deliveries closed at $81.99/MWh, increasing $2.64/MWh or 3.22%.

ERCOT '08 finished the week at $79.53/MWh up 3.33%.

ERCOT '09 closed the week at $76.87/MWh up 3.04%.

The prompt month for the Houston Zone finished at $87.99/ MWh, an increase of 5.27%. The prompt month North Zone finished at $81.99/MWh up 3.22%.

NYISO-NEPOOL Power

Northeast power prices started the week on a steady path. Price decreased slightly by mid-week and the week ended higher than the previous week.

Prompt month prices for the Northeast are 7% to 12% higher than 3 months ago for the same trading month.

NYISO Zone J prompt month closed the week at $103.25/ MWh increasing $2.00/MWh, and 1.94%.

NYISO Zone A prompt month finished at $68.00/MWh with a gain of $2.25/MWh or 3.31%

Massachusetts NEMA prompt month closed at $89.00/ MWh an increase of 4.66% or $4.15/MWh.

Massachusetts SEMA prompt month finished the week at $83.00/MWh, increasing 5.00% or $4.15/MWh.

PJM Power

PJM power prices kicked off the week on a slightly increasing rate. Prices continued on this path through mid-week up to the end of the week.

Cinergy prompt month finished the week at $62.50/MWh, an increase of 5.76% or $3.60/MWh.

NI Hub prompt month finished up $3.45/MWh to close at $62.10/MWh, increasing by 5.56%.

PJM West Hub prompt month was up $4.00/MWh closing at $76.75/MWh, increasing by 5.21%.

PSEG prices for the prompt month closed at $91.50/MWh, increasing by 4.37% or $4.00/MWh.

Compared to 3 months ago, PJM prices rose from 11% to 17% for the same trading period.

Natural Gas Market

Natural gas prices stayed constant as the week started. Prices decreased slightly by mid-week and reverted to an upward movement by the end of the week.

NYMEX prices for the prompt month finished the week at $7.83/MMBtu,increasing 4.05%.

April 2007 prices are 11.61% higher than 3 months ago for the same delivery period.

NYMEX Bal. '07 closed at $8.41/MMBtu, increasing 4.63%.

NYMEX Cal '08 finished the week at $8.90/MMBtu; NYMEX Cal '09 closed at $8.61/MMBtu.

Algonquin, Transco Z6, and Tetco M3 prompt month closed at $1.39/MMBtu, $1.70/MMBtu, and $1.18/MMbtu respectively

Natural Gas Storage: Gas in Storage Increased 18 Bcf

Working gas in storage was 1,564 Bcf as of Friday, April 27, 2007, according to EIA estimates.

This represents a net increase of 18 Bcf from the previous week.

Stocks were 276 Bcf less than last year at this time and 233 Bcf above the 5-year average of 1,331 Bcf.

In the East Region, stocks were 36 Bcf above the 5-year average following net injections of 1 Bcf.

Stocks in the Producing Region were 154 Bcf above the 5-year average of 493 Bcf after a net injection of 11 Bcf.

Stocks in the West Region were 43 Bcf above the 5-year average after a net addition of 6 Bcf.

At 1,564 Bcf, total working gas is within the 5-year historical range.
