Dwindling OPEC Spare Capacity Fuels Oilıs Spike, Brent Poised To Test $127

OPEC’s buffer against supply disruptions is at the lowest levels since 2008, when crude oil prices made their record run to $147.

The Department of Energy reported this morning that in the week ending Feb. 17, , U.S. crude oil inventories increased by 1.6 million barrels, gasoline inventories decreased by 0.6 million barrels, distillate inventories decreased by 0.2 million barrels and total petroleum inventories increased by 3.3 million barrels.
