ERCOT Power
ERCOT power prices began the week on a decreasing
path and hit its lowest mark at midweek. The week
ended with prices reverting to an increasing path.
ERCOT Prompt month deliveries closed at $51.50/MWh,
decreasing $0.93/MWh or 1.81%.
ERCOT ‘09 finished the week at $72.34/MWh up, 0.38%.
ERCOT ‘10 closed the week at $70.66/MWh, up 0.72%.
The prompt month for the Houston Zone finished at $53.55/
MWh a decrease of 0.48% and the prompt month North
Zone finished at $51.50/MWh down 1.81%.

NYISO-NEPOOL Power
Northeast power prices started the week on a declining
path and increased slightly at midweek. It continued
on the same path as the week came to an end.
Prompt month prices for the Northeast decreased by 21%
to 28% compared to 3 months ago for the same trading
month.
NYISO Zone J prompt month closed the week at $76.55/
MWh decreasing $0.25/MWh, a loss of 0.33% from last
week.
NYISO Zone A prompt month finished at $57.30/MWh, a
gain of $0.25/MWh or 0.44%.
Massachusetts NEMA prompt month closed at $62.78/
MWh, a decrease of 2.63% or $1.65/MWh.
Massachusetts SEMA prompt month finished the week at
$61.90/MWh, decreasing 2.67% or $1.65/MWh.

PJM Power
P JM power prices started the week at a constant rate
and decreased slightly at mid-week. The week closed
with prices staying on a descending path.
Cinergy prompt month finished the week at $46.40/MWh, a
change of 2.16%, decreasing $1.00/MWh.
NI Hub prompt month finished the week with a loss of
$0.65/MWh closing at $46.25/MWh, a change of 1.41%.
PJM West Hub prompt month lost $1.30/MWh closing at
$53.50/MWh, a change of 2.43%.
PSEG prices for the prompt month closed at $65.50/
MWh, a change of 1.98%, down $1.30/MWh.
Compared to 3 months ago, PJM prices are 20% to 23%
lower for the same trading period.

Natural Gas Market
Natural gas prices decreased
sharply as the
week began and reached its
lowest mark at mid-week. The
week closed with prices slightly
returning to an increasing path.
NYMEX prices for the prompt
month finished the week at
$6.08/MMBtu, an decrease of
3.27% or $0.20/MMBtu.
Oct. 07 prices are approximately
27% lower than 3
months ago.
NYMEX Cal. ‘08 closed at
$7.99/MMBtu, a change of
0.55%, up $0.04/MMBtu.
NYMEX Cal ‘09 finished the
week at $8.32/MMBtu; NYMEX
Cal ‘10 closed at $8.13/MMBtu.
Algonquin, Transco Z6, and
Tetco M3 prompt month closed
at $1.16/MMBtu, $1.54/MMBtu,
and $0.98/MMbtu respectively.

Natural Gas Storage: Gas in Storage Increased 63 Bcf
Working gas in storage was
3,132 Bcf as of Friday, September
14, 2007, according to
EIA estimates.
This represents a net increase
of 63 Bcf from the previous
week.
Stocks were 32 Bcf less than
last year at this time and 238
Bcf above the 5-year average
of 2,894 Bcf.
In the East Region, stocks
were 106 Bcf above the 5-year
average following net injections
of 41 Bcf.
Stocks in the Producing Region
were 107 Bcf above the 5-year
average of 824 Bcf after a net
injection of 16 Bcf.
Stocks in the West Region
were 25 Bcf above the 5-year
average after a net addition of
6 Bcf.
At 3,132 Bcf, total working gas
is within the 5-year historical
