ERCOT Power
ERCOT power prices started the week steady but took
a jump as prices reacted to the natural gas market.
ERCOT Prompt month deliveries closed at $61.42/MWh,
increasing $2.22/MWh or 3.61%.
ERCOT ‘08 finished the week at $75.17/MWh up 3.10%.
ERCOT ’09 closed the week at $72.50/MWh up 2.24%.
The prompt month for the Houston Zone finished at $64.80/
MWh an increase of 2.27% and the prompt month North
Zone finished at $63.22/MWh up 2.80%.

NYISO—NEPOOL Power
Northeast power prices started the week consistently
but increased mid week, closing higher compared to
last week.
Prompt month prices for the Northeast are 7% to 9% less
than 3 months ago for the same trading month.
NYISO Zone J prompt month closed the week at $86.85/
MWh increasing $2.35/MWh, a change of 2.71%.
NYISO Zone A prompt month finished at $59.85/MWh a
gain of $0.60/MWh or 1.00%
Massachusetts NEMA prompt month closed at $77.85/
MWh a change of 2.70% or $2.10/MWh.
Massachusetts SEMA prompt month finished the week at
$71.85/MWh, increasing 2.92%.

PJM Power
PJM power prices started the week with a slow increase
and continued to increase, closing up compared
to last week.
Cinergy prompt month finished the week at $54.80/MWh, a
change of 2.83% increasing $1.55/MWh.
NI Hub prompt month finished up $1.25/MWh to close at
$53.75/MWh, a change of 2.33%.
PJM West Hub prompt month gained $2.10/MWh closing
at $63.60/MWh, a change of 3.30%.
PSEG prices for the prompt month closed at $70.60/MWh,
a change of 2.97% or $2.10/MWh.
Compared to 3 months ago, PJM prices are 5% to 6%
lower for the same trading period.

Natural Gas Market
Natural gas prices started
the week with a slow increase
and continued to rise
the remainder of the week.
NYMEX prices for the prompt
month finished the week at
$7.27/MMBtu a increase of
4.75% or $0.35/MMBtu.
March 2007 prices are 7.65%
lower than 3 months ago for the
same delivery period.
NYMEX Bal. ‘07 closed at
$7.95/MMBtu a change of
4.68%, up $0.37/MMBtu.
NYMEX Cal ‘08 finished the
week at $8.49/MMBtu; NYMEX
Cal ‘09 closed at $8.19/MMBtu.
Algonquin, Transco Z6, and
Tetco M3 prompt month closed
at $1.37/MMBtu, $1.63/MMBtu,
and $1.12/MMbtu respectively.

Natural Gas Storage: Gas in Storage Increased 17 Bcf
Working gas in storage was
1,533 Bcf as of Friday, March
16, 2007, according to EIA
estimates. This represents a
net increase of 17 Bcf from the
previous week.
Stocks were 279 Bcf less than
last year at this time and 239
Bcf above the 5-year average
of 1,294 Bcf.
In the East Region, stocks
were 76 Bcf above the 5-year
average following net withdrawals
of 10 Bcf. Stocks in the
Producing Region were 132
Bcf above the 5-year average
of 452 Bcf after a net injection
of 20 Bcf. Stocks in the West
Region were 32 Bcf above the
5-year average after a net addition
of 7 Bcf.
At 1,533 Bcf, total working gas
is within the 5-year historical
range.
